When ever I am at the supermarket, I enjoy looking at the cashier taking one by one the product for scanning.  I always think that how innovative is that person to invent such a clever gadget.

After a few searching, I now know that the amazing guys are Joseph Woodland and Bernard Silver and all started in year 1952.  Wow, the barcode era is not new and it is way before I was born.  Cool!  Anyway, in year 1966, barcode was first used commercially and then they sort out an industry standard so that everyone can use it.

After all the technologies and improvements, we now have the Symbol LS2208 barcode scanner.
