In case you lose one during transition in the airport. and always bring a small cabin bag. medium size bag is the best for check-in and to be brought in the car trunk. if you need i have 1 to loan you. also, get hard casing if you really decide to buy. the good ones are very light and they protect your things in case u buy easily breakable stuff. Also, the zipped ones are easy to tamper with. to be honest, unless you guys plan to travel very often, i don't suggest you buy a one. loaning is better. :) or else the piece of luggage takes up a space & storage at home. if u need to buy, go to any dept store and ask them.
